A&M (Analysis and Method)
This is the first of hopefully a reasonable amount of posts under this category. I say this because I am anxious to learn how to lucid dream and I would like to be able to in the very near future. That being said, my first steps toward lucidity is the combination of 3 steps from a list of 19 which seems to be more of a list of methods which can to combined interchangeably to hopefully reach a satisfactory result. Step one is something I have employed throughout my day today. This step consists of periodically asking myself if I am dreaming with the hopes of making this a routine function of my brain that will happen during sleep as a result. The next step I am going to use is the dream journal which is Step 2 and will appear on my blog as soon as I wake up from my next slumber. Finally, the last step that will be combined with the previous two steps is Step 4 from the list. This step is referred to as the MILD technique (mnemonic induction of lucid dreaming) created by the author of one the texts I have read from, Stephen Laberge. This step requires me to set an alarm for approximately 5 hours after I have fallen asleep so that I may wake up and try to recover every detail of the dream I was having. Oh, would you look at that, nearly bedtime.
