The 30 Day Experiment
This is a brief post for those of you who I have invited to read this blog, anyone aimlessly wandering the internet, and most importantly those of you in my English 104 course who are unaware of my 30 day challenge. My challenge will be to learn how to lucid dream over the course of these 30 days. Anyone who is unaware of the concept of lucid dream, it is simply the act of realizing that you are dreaming and allowing yourself to control what transpires willingly. To begin, I have done research on the subject by surfing the web and reading passages from books. I have searched for the best method for achieving a lucid dream. I have come across a very convenient list which has the most effective methods which also happens to contain methods taught in the texts I have studied. From this point forward I plan to have two categories of posts that will keep followers informed on my progress. First will be the analysis and method posts (A&M) which will describe the methods I am currently using. These posts will test which methods seem to be more effective and which ones seem to hinder my progress. The second type of post will be my Dream Journal. It seems to be a common theme in my readings that writing down your dreams to the best of your memory is important when learning to lucid dream. It is supposed to make the mind aware of the fact that I am serious about wanting to remember these dreams and most of all realize that I am dreaming during the night. This is something I have been interested in for a while and I am glad that I have some incentive to try. Wish me luck.
